An affordable frequency to voltage converter connected to an anemometer logging the wind speed, with an affordable interface that requires input voltages between 0 and 5 volts.

Hello

Have you come across any affordable frequency to voltage converters that are already constructed to convert the frequency output to a range of 0 to 5 volts depending on the wind speed?

I have had a couple of frequency to voltage converters constructed for me for some other anemometers. The one for the Young anemometer worked for my interface and data logger. However, another one gave a steady voltage on a volt meter. However, on the read out with the data logger it gave erratic readings which is strange, because the readings on the data logger normally match the volt meter. Perhaps, the voltage produced by one of the frequency to voltage converters was not smooth enough for the data logger. I am not sure if this problem could be rectified. Do you have any ideas on this?

Alternatively, do you know of any affordable data loggers or interfaces that would enable me to directly record the frequency in a text file.

I have many other electronic projects which would benefit many people and I need help to set them up. Please see http://www.advantagein.com/electronics

I also have many websites with new ideas, including separate free groups, unique inventions with advantages, and rare information with solutions to help people. Please see http://www.advantagein.com/community.htm for a brief summary.  I would appreciate your feedback and help. Are you able to swap links or share any letters that I could send you?
