A rain or drizzle sensor circuit which sounds a buzzer when the rain or drizzle begins and sounds another buzzer when they stop. It would be useful to alert people when to shut windows, take washing off the clothes line, shelter rain sensitive equipment or begin a job where you need to wait until the rain or drizzle stops.

Hello

We need someone to make up a rain sensor circuit at  http://weather.org.au/raintimerrelay.jpg .

The circuit sounds a buzzer for a few seconds to alert people when it starts to rain or drizzle, and also sounds another buzzer when the sensor dries out, to indicate when the rain has stopped. This would be useful so that people would know when to shut the windows, go outside, and shelter washing or items affected by rain. It would detect light rain and drizzle that could not be easily seen or heard. Many people do not notice when rain starts as they are so busy and do not have time to look out of the window. An alarm system would be very useful because this precipitation could cause many problems, and it is best to shut some windows or remove washing or equipment that is exposed to the drizzle as soon as it starts.

I could also connect the system to the Internet so that other people in the community would benefit, as I have an interface to do that.  There is no need to be concerned about the rain sensor and heater parts. I can make and connect them if you leave some leads a few inches long connected to the board so that I can connect them. It may also be easier to connect the potentiometers to leads instead of directly to the circuit board. Instead of the part labeled “main relay switch” you could just connect some leads a few feet in length to the board and have a micro switch connected. I could connect the micro switch to a mechanical 240 volt timer so that the timer pushes the switch open and closed as the clock part rotates.

Please let me know how much time would be involved in making up the circuit, and how much I would need to pay you to make it up. I can provide all the parts.

I have many other electronic projects which would benefit many people and I need help to set them up. Please see http://www.advantagein.com/electronics

I also have many websites with new ideas, including separate free groups, unique inventions with advantages, and rare information with solutions to help people. Please see http://www.advantagein.com/community.htm for a brief summary.  I would appreciate your feedback and help. Are you able to swap links or share any letters that I could send you?
